Where is Therapy in Mind located?

Therapy in Mind provides face-to-face service in Benalla, North East Victoria. Online, telehealth therapy may be available on request 

 

Do I have to live in Benalla to use your service?

No, however in times of high demand priority will be given to people living in rural and regional areas of North East Victoria.

 

Does Therapy in Mind offer telehealth sessions?

At this time, Therapy in Mind provides only Face-to-Face  services. Online, telehealth therapy may be available on request.

 

Can Therapy in Mind help diagnose Functional Neurological Disorder?

No. Formal diagnosis of Functional Neurological Disorders must be made by a Neurologist.

 

My FND causes physical symptoms. How can Psychology help?

FND is a problem that is based in the 'software' of the brain, rather than the 'hardware'. Many non-medication treatments for mood disorders also work with our brains 'software'. Recent approches to FND treatments specially tailored these treatments to the unique experience of FND.

 

Can Therapy in Mind help with other mental health conditions besides Functional Neurological Disorder?

Yes, Therapy in Mind provides assessments and treatments for a variety of mental health challenges. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.

 

Do you provide support under the NDIS?

Yes. Most of our services can be covered by NDIS, please talk to us about your needs.

 

Do you work with children?

Therapy in Mind provides therapy for school aged children and their families. Selected childhood assessments are also available.

What do I need to claim a Medicare rebate for services at Therapy in Mind?

A Mental Health Care plan from your GP is required to receive a Medicare rebate.

 

Do you Bulk Bill?

Unfortunately we are not able to provide bulk billing. If you are experiencing genuine financial hardship, flexible payment options may be available on a case by case basis.

 

Are the psychologists at Therapy in Mind qualified and experienced?

Yes, all psychologists at Therapy in Mind are highly qualified having obtained at least a Masters degree and are fully registered by the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority (AHPRA).

 

How can I book an appointment at Therapy in Mind?

You can book an appointment by making contact through the booking buttons on this page (preferred). We will then contact you to discuss your needs further and provide a link to make a booking though our online portal. Alternativley, contact us via email to schedule an appointment.

 

What is your cancellation policy?

We require a minimum of 48 hours notice for cancellation of appointments. Less than 48 hours notice of a cancellation will incur a fee of 50% of the hourly fee, while 'no-shows' will be charged at the full rate. The invoice must be paid before further bookings can be made

 

Do you provide emergency appointments?

No, we are unable to provide crisis support.  If you or someone you know is in crisis, please call one of the following services:
